Connecticut was 1 of 4 states with the highest gas prices in 2014.  Households realize real savings with gas prices more than $1/gallon less expensive.   This downward trend will have an impact on the economic landscape.

“(GasBuddy) – Hard to believe, but the national average price of gas was more than $1 per gal. higher at the start of 2014 ($3.29) than it was on the last day of the year. On Jan. 1, 2014, WTI crude oil was trading at $98 per barrel and gas below $3 was found in just a handful of states.”
