For the past couple years, this long time landmark entertainment and dining venue in Hartford, CT has been embarked on a turnaround campaign.

With a couple key renovations to the facilities under their belts, this historical Hartford landmark’s board of directors, executive officers and volunteers turned their attention on re-introducing unique events and upgrading the restaurant’s menu.

Recent notable events included an old-school, elegant dining experience marketed as the Connecticut Game Dinner and Pairings Night, which featured a four course game dinner tied to Polish history and live jazz, set in the Hartford PNH elegant Chopin Ballroom.

The home also played host to a Yankee Institute sponsored presentation by economist Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, who served as deputy prime minister and chairman of the National Bank of Poland.

The historical landmark’s 85th anniversary gala was a sold-out event, included a performance by Theatre of Imagination Novum and several elected officials and dignitaries from New York City.

With the revitalization of the Capewell Horse Nail Company and conversion to residential units, the Polish National Home of Hartford is exptected to flourish and be a neighborhood, city and regional anchor of cultural and entertainment events.

One of the next events is a dinner and show.  The show is a performance by the Polish theater troupe, Theatre of Imagination Novum, of their original play, “Wedding“.

The Hartford PNH was once the place to go for an evening out throughout Connecticut.  There’s every reason to expect this historical landmark to reemerge again as a cultural and entertainment beacon in central Connecticut.
